Camaiore is a very wide community which stretches from the fascinating peaks of the Apuan Alps to the Tyrrhenian Sea, in the heart of Versilia, an area full of charme and tradition. Its territory can be ideally divided into four major areas: Seimiglia hills, the capital with its valley, the plain of Capezzano and the coastline of Lido. Indeed, this area is one of the few places in the world where one can find such a combination of landscapes and sceneries: from the sea to the hills, from the mountains to the lakes, from the beach to the Apuan Alps Natural Park. Camaiore has Roman origins and it is worth visiting its pretty, ancient village centre, where the predestrian street of Via Vittorio Emanuele represents the decumano and the hub of the historical centre; here and in the nearby streets there are all the main services, shops, pubs, restaurants, and so forth. The hills of Camaiore hinterland are the perfect destination both for nature lovers and culture enthusiasts. From the several and peculiar hilly hamlets, one can admire fantastic natural landscapes, also with a view on the coastline and historical and artistic beauties, immersed in the green and silence of the countryside.
From the hilly areas, the centre of Camaiore, the seaside and the beaches of the famous Versilia Riviera can be conveniently reached by car in just a few minutes. The hilly hinterland allows to go walking, cycling or horse riding and the mountains, easily reachable by a short drive, offer a broad range of routes. Show more Show less
