Tuscan summer all sold-out. Versilia sells like hot cakes
The summer of 2021 has been a sold-out summer, including in Versilia, despite the pandemic and events that it caused to be cancelled. In this renowned and sought-after seaside location, Broker Commerciale Exclusive Real Estate lists several luxury and stately properties.
Tourist flow peaked especially in the week of Ferragosto, when hotels on the Versilian from Viareggio to Forte dei Marmi were sold out. Like last year, Versilian residents couldn’t enjoy the annual Sant’Ermete fair nor the fireworks. However, calling off this beloved event didn’t stem the flow of tourists who crowded this renowned tourist location.
Hotels in Versilia weren’t sold out only during the week of Ferragosto. Thanks to the good weather and becoming a “white zone” (low-risk area) though a robust vaccination program, hotels were full during the last week of June, and not only due to the influx of Italian tourists. In fact, foreign tourists have also returned – albeit in smaller numbers than in the pre-pandemic summers – equipped with due vaccination certificate or negative Covid test.
Beaches weren’t only for swimming and fun this summer, and accommodation facilities weren’t the only sold-out places. With the initiative "GiovaniSìVaccinano in spiaggia", a vaccination program by the sea launched by the Tuscany Region, all 150 daily doses of vaccines available were administered.
In short, the pandemic did not manage to hinder the regular activity of hotels, bed & breakfasts and agritourisms. Versilia offers a wide choice of luxury hotels along the coast, with swimming pools and often with agreements with bathing establishments, where you can spend your vacations surrounded by class and refinement.
